Injury claims we handle across Georgia
From highway crashes to unsafe property, here is what usually matters in each kind of case, and what you may be able to recover. Not sure where your situation fits? Ask us. The review is free.
Car accidents
Georgia is an at-fault state: the driver who caused the crash, and their insurer, are responsible for your losses. Insurers often move quickly with a low offer before you know the full cost of your injuries. We collect the police report, photos, medical records and witness statements, then deal with the adjusters for you.
Common causes
- Distracted or phone-using drivers
- Speeding and following too closely
- Drunk or drugged driving
- Running red lights and stop signs
- Unsafe lane changes on I-75, I-85 and I-285
What you may be able to recover
- Medical bills, now and in the future
- Lost wages and reduced earning ability
- Vehicle repair or replacement
- Pain and suffering
- Rental car and out-of-pocket costs
Truck accidents
Crashes with 18-wheelers and delivery trucks cause some of the most serious injuries we see. These cases can involve several responsible parties, including the driver, the trucking company, a cargo loader or a maintenance contractor, and federal safety rules. Evidence like electronic logging data can disappear quickly, so we move fast to preserve it.
Common causes
- Driver fatigue and hours-of-service violations
- Overloaded or poorly secured cargo
- Brake and tire failures from skipped maintenance
- Wide turns and blind-spot lane changes
- Poorly trained or inexperienced drivers
What you may be able to recover
- Emergency care, surgery and rehabilitation
- Long-term care and home modifications
- Lost income and benefits
- Pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment of life
- Property damage
Motorcycle accidents
Riders are often blamed for crashes they did not cause. We push back on that bias with scene evidence, crash reconstruction and witness statements. Under Georgia law you may still recover compensation even if you were partly at fault, as long as you were less than 50% responsible.
Common causes
- Drivers turning left in front of a rider
- Unsafe lane changes and blind spots
- Car doors opened into traffic
- Potholes and road debris
- Rear-end collisions at lights
What you may be able to recover
- Medical and rehabilitation costs
- Lost wages
- Motorcycle repair or replacement
- Damaged riding gear
- Pain and suffering
Slip & fall / premises liability
Property owners in Georgia must keep their premises reasonably safe for visitors. When a store, apartment complex or parking deck ignores a hazard it knew about and someone gets hurt, the owner may be responsible. Photos, incident reports and video matter, so ask for a copy of any report and keep the shoes and clothes you were wearing.
Common causes
- Wet or freshly waxed floors without warning signs
- Broken stairs, handrails or uneven sidewalks
- Poor lighting in parking decks and stairwells
- Negligent security at apartments and hotels
- Ice, debris and cluttered aisles
What you may be able to recover
- Medical bills and future treatment
- Lost wages
- Pain and suffering
- Costs of help at home while you recover
- Out-of-pocket expenses
Workplace injuries
Most on-the-job injuries in Georgia are covered by workers’ compensation, which can pay medical bills and part of your lost wages. If someone other than your employer caused the injury, such as a subcontractor, another driver or an equipment maker, you may also have a separate injury claim. We help you understand and pursue both paths.
Common causes
- Falls from ladders, scaffolds and roofs
- Construction site and warehouse accidents
- Defective machinery and tools
- Work-related car and truck crashes
- Repetitive stress injuries
What you may be able to recover
- Medical treatment
- Weekly income benefits
- Permanent impairment benefits
- Pain and suffering when a third party is at fault
- Vocational rehabilitation
Wrongful death
Losing a family member because of someone else’s carelessness is devastating. Georgia law lets certain family members bring a claim for the full value of their loved one’s life, and the estate can recover funeral and medical expenses. We handle the legal work with care and patience, so your family has room to grieve.
Common causes
- Fatal car, truck and motorcycle crashes
- Workplace accidents
- Unsafe property and negligent security
- Defective products
- Pedestrian and bicycle collisions
What you may be able to recover
- The full value of your loved one's life
- Funeral and burial costs
- Medical expenses before death
- Your loved one's pain and suffering before death
- Lost financial support
Deadlines matter
Don’t wait too long to get advice
Georgia law sets strict deadlines, called statutes of limitations, for injury claims. Many personal injury and wrongful death claims must be filed within two years, but some deadlines are much shorter. Claims against a city, county or state agency can require written notice within months. Evidence also fades with time.
